Dear Ms. Miller,
Starting at the beginning of the school year( fresh out of middle school) I was not so much of a good writer. I never really knew how to start my paragraphs off or when I did start it off i couldn't figure out what to write next. After writing the first piece "Evidence and Claim," I started catching on to how it was supposed to be. Writing wasn't all that I improved in. Finding information in books, and making responses to the information have improved as well.
I appreciate how much I have improved in the class from beginning of the school year from now. Freshman English has really improved me. For example; "November 30,2015, We did Evidence and Claim on a murder case. By getting it broke down and explained to me about how to solve a murder case with evidence and claim was very helpful because from just that worksheet it is so much easier now working with evidence and claim. Think I am ready for my next stage.
Sincerely,
Kalyne Montgomery

Do Dreams and Fate Seem to Steer The course of Shakespeare’s “Star- Crossed Lovers”?
Thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person’s mind during sleep. Those are dreams! Dreams play big roles in our lives. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet seems to be a love story, but more dreamy. Romeo and Juliet, explores the theme of fate by allowing the audience to be party to his character's destiny.
In the opening lines of the play the audience is told what is going to happen to the lovers; “ a pair of star-cross’d lovers take their lives.” Meaning the two lovers Romeo and Juliet fall in-love then things go wrong about it, and ends the two of their lives.( the prologue:5). Romeo was a single, miserable man. Mercutio and Benvolio wanted to take him to a ball. Romeo states, “ I had a dream last night.” (1:4:52). Mercutio responds, “ I did too”. Romeo dreamed that the party they are attending will not turn out right as he says,
“ I’m worried we’ll get there too early.I have
a feeling this party is going to be the start
of something bad, something that will end
with my own death. But whoever’s in charge
of where my life’s going can steer me
wherever they want. Onward, lover boys!”
This states that Romeo is scared that this party they going to is a great idea. With that being said, the audience feels fate take a tighter grasp on him, because Romeo gives himself up to “ he that hath the steerage of my course.” (1:4:112).
Romeo and Juliet has fate against themselves. Their love is "death-marked," and they have no control over what happens.Romeo and Juliet are ultimately killed because of their decisions and fate. Romeo says to Juliet in the Capulet party, “Thus from my lips, by thine my sin is purged” (1:108), and then he kisses her, it obviously exhibitions how they exercise their choice to love each other. After discovering each other’s identities, Romeo proclaims, “My life is my foe’s debt” (1:119),and Juliet states, “ My only love sprung from my only hate” (1:140). Romeo’s actions and chance also cause the chaos in Romeo and Mercutio’s fight scene with Tybalt.
Romeo replies to Tybalt when he is first insulted and threatened on the street, “ I do protest I never injure thee, but love thee better than thou canst devise” (3:67-8), it means he does not mean Tybalt any harm and is walking away from the fight. Then Mercutio steps in for Romeo and starts fighting Tybalt. Romeo gets between them, which allows Tybalt to kill Mercutio and later results in Romeo killing Tybalt. They point fingers at Romeo and accuse him of allowing Mercutio to be killed. Romeo tried to work things out so no one would be injured, like peer mediation.
Fate does have a role in deciding the outcome. Alot say Romeo has no need to fight, but what if he walks away and Benvolio steps in? Will he be killed too? The fight scene shows how fate and Romeo’s decisions are responsible for two deaths and banishment.
Annotated Bibliography
"Runaway Twin", is a pair of twins who are separated. Sunny England was one of the twins. Her mother and grandmother died in a car accident when the twins were younger. Sunny and Starr got split up. Sunny went through multiple foster homes but finally found one with the owner name of Rita. Sunny was so determined to find and see her twin sister Starr again. Once she found Starr, Starr didn't remember that she had a twin and wasn't really interested in seeing Sunny or even having her over to talk.
This book is a great book because it is giving a message. Not everyone will appreciate you or may not even remember the thing you remember. Always be respectful about it. Not everyone has good memory but at least you should want to listen to it and maybe might enjoy hearing what is being said. Also, the book has a lot of feelings and very interesting parts. It is very relevant just because of the fact she was so determined and when she finally reached her goal she couldn't even enjoy it. She was still respectful through it all. At the end of the day she met her twin and made it back home safely with Rita.

Personal Narrative
Not everyone has a good day! People go through a lot in their lives, either if its them of if it isn't. I've been through something pretty disappointing lately. With a family member that I was close to but grew apart.
For awhile my cousin has had cancer for 8 years. Recently, we found out she was in stage 4 cancer. I was a little confused because my grandmother and mother is crying and I was just stuck. "What is stage 4 cancer?" I asked. Turns out to be the last stage in cancer that they can't do nothing about anymore. Which means she might die, well not "might" she is going to die.
This really had me going crazy because she has a 1 year old daughter and an unhealthy mother. She was everybody's smile. So, when she found out she decided to throw a concert. But she never really knew how many people was going to show up. When we showed up there was a full house. More than 40 people was there supporting her.
She was so shocked, she came in happy as if she didn't have no cancer. She was jumping around, smiling, cheerful and etc. All she wanted was to be happy before she died.
